Kumon Publishing, an emerging children's educational publisher, is proud to add 4 new titles to the Kumon Workbook line. My Book of Easy Crafts, My Book of Pasting, My Book of Simple Addition, and My Book of Addition will all be available May 1st in bookstores everywhere.
All 16 Kumon Workbooks use the Kumon Method, an educational philosophy that aims at unlocking the full learning potential of each individual child. The Kumon Method introduces learning concepts in an incremental, step-by-step approach, allowing children to master new skills easily and without anxiety or frustration. Over 3.7 million students worldwide use the Method in Kumon Learning Centers to become self-motivated learners.
My Book of Pasting and My Book of Easy Crafts both offer children the excitement of creating simple paper crafts for the first time. Each book is made with 80# paper, which has the durability that is crucial to withstanding repeated folding. The completed crafts also serve as toys, and are a continuing source of joy for the proud child that has created them.
My Book of Simple Addition and My Book of Addition help parents impart the basics of the ever-important skill of addition. By stressing the importance of encouragement and reward to the educational process, Kumon Workbooks help bring a family closer together during study time.
Other titles on Kumon's list range from My First Book of Mazes and My First Book of Cutting to My Book of Number Games 1-70 and My Book of Rhyming Words and Phrases. In 2005, KPNA's publishing program will include educational tools ranging from flash cards to posters, and the company also has plans to branch out into illustrated books for children.
(Kumon Workbooks are currently available through Barnes & Noble bookstores, and Ingram, Baker & Taylor, and Bookazine distributors.) |
