Teaneck, New Jersey – More homeschooling parents are encountering
Kumon Workbooks every day – and loving them. Their demands have led to some new
developments for Kumon Publishing.
The popular high-quality workbooks are now available through some trusted names in
the homeschool market. Rainbow Resource, a respected catalog in the
community, has been doing brisk business with the workbooks. Timberdoodle
has also found success, with every order larger than the last. Christian Book
Distributors have just begun an exciting new relationship with Kumon
Publishing, with their first order. Hopefully, many more will come.
The Old Schoolhouse, the seminal homeschool magazine, has noticed
the buzz around the Kumon name. Their organization ran four reviews
of the workbooks on their website in June. Kumon Publishing is looking
forward to seeing these reviews in print in an upcoming edition of the magazine.
Dena Wood from The Old Schoolhouse Store as well as the magazine,
concludes a positive review by saying that her “children enjoyed all the
activities so much that this was considered a “reward” book. You can’t
do much better than that!” Her full review is viewable at

Dr. Anne Margaret Wright has had a frustrating time finding fine motor
skills book for her son Benji, whose Down Syndrome makes fine
muscle movements more challenging. She is delighted that
Kumon’s First Steps Workbooks, which concentrate of fine
motor skills for children aged 2 and up, has such beautiful
illustrations and simple instructions. Her praise is poignant, as
she lauds the books for producing “all smiles” instead of tears.

The Old Schoolhouse Magazine regular Christine Field enjoys
the look and feel of the workbooks, adding that the “pace is
gentle, the activities are fun” and the books are “reasonably priced.”

Kumon Publishing is looking forward to developing these relationships
in order to reach out to more homeschoolers around North America in
the coming year.
